Homebrew Review
Bring out your best beer, mead and cider for 10th annual MHBA Homebrew Review taking place at Under Pressure Brewing, located in Golden Valley! This is a closed event for MHBA members, family and friends and the taproom which is normally closed on Tuesdays will be open JUST FOR US! This is also a great event to bring a friend who is contemplating getting involved in either homebrewing or joining the MHBA. During the event, we can help you renew your membership or join for the first time.
We have lots of fun planned and looking to add more, here are a few highlights:
• Homebrew Share – Bring in your creations and share with others. You can bring bottles or growlers in any amount, but try to bring enough so you can share and please be discreet when bringing in your homebrew. We are still determining if kegs will be allowed and will let you know. If you are new member or thinking about joining, I GUARANTEE that some current members will introduce themselves and pour you a beverage!
• Pay It Forward Presentation by Josh Janos – Homebrewer Josh Janos will be joining us again to talk about his passion of brewing beer as a means to pay it forward through Good Company Brewing, an online charitable giving platform for homebrewers and craft beer drinkers, to give to charities of their choice. • Members Choice Competition – Club members will vote to see who has crafted the best tasting homebrews, with awards for Members Choice Beer and another for Members Choice Mead/Cider. Prizes Galore!!!
The club will be providing some snacks but plan to bring in whatever you like to enjoy for dinner. The brewery taproom also has menus for most local restaurant and pizza delivery options to the brewery on-site. So, if the urge to get some pizza with your IPA or mead strikes, you will have options at your fingertips.
