Who We Are

We are a collection of homebrewers of all levels of experience located in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul Metropolitan area. Organized in 1986 by a small, but enthusiastic handful of homebrewers, MHBA's membership now numbers 150+. Our member's interests run the gamut from those who brew using extract kits, to all grain mashers, to those who simply appreciate and enjoy good beer.

What We Do

MHBA encourages and instructs. Our desire is to encourage a healthy and responsible attitude towards the consumption of fine beers, to help beer lovers improve their tasting skills and brewing techniques, and to share recipes, equipment innovations, homebrews and worthwhile commercial offerings.

Meetings often feature a specific beer style for sampling and discussion. Members bring homebrew or commercial finds for sampling and sharing. A newsletter is published to keep members informed on current brew news and club activities. The "HomeBrew Hotline" at 651-229-5129 also provides up to date information on club activities.

When and Where We Meet

Generally, we meet the first weekend of every month at a variety of locations. Check our Calendar of Events for upcoming meetings and events and click here for directions. All are welcome.

How To Join
